Personal Life

Urmina Bruce Tacmoy was born in Taal, Batangas, Philippines in 1966. An evangelical Christian, she supports her husband in the Ministry.  She completed her Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering at Technological Institute of the Philippines in 1983, became a Licensed Electrical Engineer in 1984, and an Operations Management degree at British Columbia Institute of Technology. She currently resides in Vancouver, BC, Canada with her husband Joel and their daughter, Jasielle.

Career

Her early childhood was a typical lower-middle class environment who belonged to a poor-middle class family.

In the 1970s, Urmina started to think about her poor life situation that pushed her to work hard, selling banana and yam in a construction site and nearby places.

During her elementary and secondary years, she worked as a Sales Lady at the market store in Lemery, Batangas for 5 years.

In 1980’s, Urmina have worked for different Electronics and Semiconductors companies; Complex Electronics Corporation as Production Operator for 2 years, Motorola Philippines Inc. held three positions; Machine Operator, Quality Assurance Inspector, and a Trainer for 12 years; Integrated Device Technology Philippines Inc. as a Production Trainer and a Production Supervisor for 2 years; Cypress Semiconductor Philippines, Inc. as a Production Trainer for 2 years.

Urmina is a Professor in Laguna College of Business and Arts (Calamba) teaching different branches of Mathematics for 1 year.

Urmina is an entrepreneur; together with her husband, they owned a Grocery Store Bakery and a transportation service. In Canada, they are operating a Commercial Cleaning Business (JM Building Services).

Urmina is a Public Speaker and a Vice President of Public Relations of Fraser Friends Toastmasters Club. She engages herself to Toastmasters International to develop her public speaking and leadership skills.

Urmina and her husband are philanthropists. By the grace of God, they donated their properties to Kapayapaan Ville Christian Church, whom Joel served as a Senior Pastor for 8 years. When opportunity came to them to come to Canada, they continued supporting churches in the Philippines to have a piece of land, and building while pioneering a church in Surrey, BC, Canada. They expanded their support to help young people to go to college or university.   

Urmina is a Local and International Coach, Silver Executive Prime of Empowered Consumerism and Orbix Victus International. She trains and coaches people throughout the world by sharing life changing opportunities, to develop, grow and help them reach their potentials to become entrepreneurs while working part time or full-time from home.

The biggest risk is not taking any risk… In a world that is changing quickly, the only strategy that is guaranteed to fail is not taking risks.
